Beauty and the Beast Costumes Update

COSTUME COMMITTEE NEWS:

Costume hours this week will be Mon-Thurs from 6:30-9:00
Saturday from 11:00am-end of show on Saturday
We are located in the HIGH SCHOOL COSTUME SHOP
1^st Floor at the very end of the new music wing. 

COSTUMES ARE REQUIRED AT THE SATURDAY MORNING AND ALL TECH WEEK REHEARSALS

We can still use dressers for the first and last performances.  Please contact a member of the design team if you can help.

Everyone should have been fitted for a costume by now.  If you have not been fitted, see one of the design team chairs ASAP.  Some costumes are still being altered.  We should be able to have them to you by the beginning of tech week.

Important Information For All Cast Members

TOWN:  All members should have a HAT.  If you have not yet received a hat, see a member of the design team ASAP.

MOB:  All members should have a HAT and either have a jacket with a cape attached (boys) or a plain cape (girls).  We will be finishing giving out capes during the Saturday rehearsal.  If you do not receive a cape on Saturday, see a member of the design team ASAP.

·         All cast members must have a tote to transport their costume.  Many costumes could be ruined if they become wet.

·         DO NOT wash or Febreeze your costume unless you check with one of the design team members first.

·         BE SURE THAT YOUR TOTE and ALL COSTUME PIECES ARE LABELED WITH YOUR NAME. Your costumes are your responsibility.

·         NO EATING OR DRINKING (OTHER THAN WATER) WHILE YOU ARE IN YOUR COSTUME.

·         COSTUMES ARE REQUIRED AT THE SATURDAY and TECH WEEK PRACTICES.

·         Some cast members (particularly those in Be Our Guest) will not be taking their costumes home because they are too bulky, fragile, large, etc.  You will be responsible for getting to practices 15 minutes early so that you can come to the costume shop to get your costume.

ADDITIONAL COSTUME NEEDS/REQUIREMENTS

SEE ONE OF THE DESIGN TEAM MEMBERS ASAP IF YOU ARE MISSING ANY COSTUME PIECES BY THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 11.

·       For All Girls:  You can wear Suntan colored stockings (pantyhose).  We are not planning on requesting you to buy any specific color of stocking at this point.  We recommend you purchases spare pairs of stockings in case they get a run.

·       ALL GIRLS  should wear leotards/Body Suits under their costumes so that they may change in public.  Boys should wear gym shorts and a plain white t-shirt so they can change in public.

·       Girls in the Town, Tavern, and Mob (including bimbettes) should wear black or tan ballet slippers or jazz shoes.  Pink ballet slippers are also acceptable depending upon the color of your costume.

·       Boys will need dark colored shoes or dark colored high boots (preferably smooth surface, not hiking boots or snow boots).  Boot spats are also good.  If in doubt, show them to a costume committee member.

·       Boys will also need solid, striped, or argyle knee socks to be worn under their knickers.  Plain white is OK.  Old Navy has some socks on clearance/sale right now if you need them. (Spare pairs of socks are recommended.)
